Illinois continuing education (CE) requirements:
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training: All persons who hold a professional license issued by the Division and are subject to a continuing education requirement shall complete a 1-hour course in sexual harassment training. A licensee may count this 1-hour for completion of this course towads meeting the minimum credit hours required for continuing education.
The sexaul harassment prevention training course shall only be provided by existing Division-approved CE providers or by persons or entites who become Division-approved CE providers.
The course shall be presented in a classroom setting, a webinar, or online.
Completion of this course shall be a condition for renewing a license effective for all renewals occurring on or after January 1, 2020.
Please note: PDR does does not offer a course that meets this requirement.
Illinois DPR - Psychologists
CE Required: 24 hours every two years
Online CE Allowed: 18 hours
License Expiration: 9/30, even years
National Accreditation Accepted: APA
Notes: 3-hrs Ethics; Prescribing psychologists must complete an additional 20 hours CE in pharmacology; Distance learning courses must have a post-test and course evaluation

Illinois State Board of Education
The Illinois State Board of Education certifies school psychologists. Candidates may apply for certification as school psychologists in Illinois through the traditional pathway or the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) pathway. Psychologists who wish to practice outside a school setting must have a license issued by the Illinois Board of Psychological Examiners (http://www.idfpr.com/profs/psych.asp). PELs are valid for five years after professional development requirements are met. The NCSP credential is accepted as meeting renewal requirements. Those without the NCSP must obtain 120 continuing professional development hours (PD hours) every five years.
