Deborah Day Poor, LCSW, has been in private practice for seventeen years. She graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of South Florida and did her graduate work at Florida State University where she studied Family Systems Theory. She is the author of "Peace at Any Price: How to Overcome the Please Disease." Deborah says she became a victim of the "please disease" while growing up in an abusive alcoholic family. Like most adult children of alcoholics, she unknowingly recreated her past to give herself an opportunity to heal herself. She remains grateful for her recovery from co-dependency and continues to embrace the opportunity to help other victims of childhood abuse, abandonment and neglect.
